Located just ninety minutes away from the capital of San José, Playa Jacó is Costa Rica’s closest beach town featuring all sorts of activities, dining, and great nightlight.  Just five minutes north of Playa Jaco you’ll find the famous Los Sueños Resort and Marina, an amazing property that offers high end private condos, an 18-hole golf course, a laundry list of amenities, fine dining and most importantly, some of the best sport fishing in Central America.

Since Jacó is one of the most visited beaches in Costa Rica, you can find lots of different activities to enjoy.  The Los Suenos Resort and the surrounding area has so much more to offer than just sport fishing, so below is a list of our top activities in the area:

Sport Fishing

Los Sueños Marina is the standard of excellence in Costa Rica and is arguably the nicest marina in the region.  The 201 slip marina features state of the art fuel services, dry storage, a full time staff, and a quaint marina village featuring boutique shops, six restaurants and bars, and even a grocery store.  Most importantly, Los Suenos is home to some the best boats in Central America. With the combination of first class luxury, world class fishing, and a top rate sport fishing fleet it is little wonder that they host one of the biggest billfish tournaments of the year, the vaunted Los Suenos Triple Crown.

Head just 20-30 miles offshore to enjoy world class sport fishing for black and blue marlin, sailfish, dorado, yellow-fin tuna, and wahoo.  Double digit sailfish days are common in the peak season and overnight trips for incredible marlin numbers are growing in popularity.  If offshore trolling isn’t your thing spend a day bottom fishing for grouper and snapper or hunt the mighty roosterfish.

Includes:  All fishing gear & tackle, gas, bait, drinks (beer/water/soda), snacks, and lunch.

What to bring: shoes that can get wet/sandals, sun lotion, sunglasses, hat, camera, cash to tip your crew.
